Well I drug this one home last spring and parked it. Now that spring is in the air in Michigan (10*)...... I thought I'd get this party started.

In the garage and on the floor for easier access. Getting too old to climb in and out of these things. Lol.





Just picking away at the demo right now. Been pretty dang cold and the old top hat kerosene heater doesn't have enough btu to battle single digit crap.

Super! Another 1970's venerable 16' SS on the road to rebirth! No matter how hard people try they just cant seem to completely ruin these great old boats. Looks like she's rock stock so the tear down should be pretty straight forward. :thumb:

Retailer had these seats on sale for $25 a pop. Will be going this route with 2 at driver and passenger and 2 in front of splashwell. One of the rears will move to the bow floor with a high pedestal for fishing.

Got my first mate to drill out some rivets tonight. He was pretty proud.

Me and the crew made some good progress today. Temps hit 60* today, sure makes it more fun not freezing your butt off.

Floor came out and we got all the screws and bolts out of the transom. Overall the wood was in pretty good condition but had spots starting to get soft. Will make perfect templates.

My 9yr old daughter got in on the fun today. She's into ballet and crafting but she has no issue getting her hands dirty. She was up under that splashwell going to town on yanking out hardware.





Wasn't sure how that got up front till we got the rest of the floor out and found no foam in the center run. Must have rolled from the back.

Kids are having fun with it. The promise of being pulled on tubes helps keep them motivated. Regarding the foam I think that was factory, saw another resto that was missing any center foam.
