Good afternoon,

i am considering this boat. It is in the water, so keel inspection is not happening. Here are pics from the bilge. What do you think of nuts’ and bolts’ condition?

With ~ 2000 lbs hanging under that boat I would want bigger washers under the nuts to spread the loads.----Fresh or salt water ?

Chesapeake, brackish salt. But otherwise these look good enough to be safe? I can do washers once I get it home.

Looks like they've been that way for a while. There's some structural wood in there that the keel is hanging from, correct? Not just the fiberglass.

Usually the studs are bedded deep into the glass, or the lead. I would like to inspect the keel, but if you can't pull the boat, is the owner trying to hide something? A survey is usually done before purchase. As far as them bolts, they are not leaking, don't look like they have been from the pics. Looks like factory setup to me. Check the interior for leaks along the walls, any hardware areas, and the keel step for rot. Soft decks are a big issue also
