1977 Mercury 700 70HP - No reverse lock

I am in the process of rebuilding the lower unit of my Mercury 700 and can not find a reverse lock on it. No hooks, forks or cams to be found that will engage the crossbar. Am I missing something?

Could be the previous owner had a power trim system on the motor at one time and he would have had to remove the reverse lock components.
