Back in Jan. I was asking for help on this boat. I have taken the floor completely out. The foam was totally saturated with water. I let them dry in garage for 6 months and they are still water logged. I threw it out and I bought the pink stuff from Menards and started replacing the old foam. Does it matter if the foam is tight or loose? Thanks in advance on your responses.

It would be better if the foam is packed tightly, pack as much as you can get in.

How many sheets did you use and what was the thickness?

Bought 4 sheets 2" x 4'x8'. Unfortunately I won't be able to do anymore work on it for a while. I recently broke my ankle, be on crutches into Dec.

JNG is 100% correct. Tighter the better. Use some PL Construction adhesive to glue it into blocks and then use a recip saw to cut it to fit any irregular shaped areas in the boat.
