I have a 1975 Catalina... We have basically a yard stick with notches in it to indicate how much fuel we have.... It is notched at a quarter, half and so on... It came with the boat when we bought it a year ago... Hope this helps

It looks as if I will have to do the same. Or invest and few hundred dollars in a flow sensor. Thanks for feedback.

I rebuilt the carb because it was bogging down at about 3200 rpm's. Took it out Sunday last, what a different. According to the GPS I was doing 27 mph at 4200 rpm. Only ran it at that speed for about 20 seconds, it was WOT and screaming.
I'm still happy.
I guess it's time to start redoing the interior.
