Good motto to go by bud and it shows.
I commented on Watermanns v5 ss thread about the leg area under the consoloes and how he struggled somewhat in creating a feasible way to finish. He did an amazing job as usual with awesome workmanship. My post was the way I went about to finish this area. So pics speak a thousand words with little effort. I also didn't reply on his thread as my pic is from the roughing in stage......

and the mechanical tool in place whilst the adhesive was curing [BTW the most use that exercise ball got in a very long time lol]
And yes there are gloves in glove box!

Oh a highly anticipated visit from the brown truck appeared today.....let the roughing of the framework of the rear casting deck begin.....woohoo....

and the primary reason it took so long to ship was getting stock in for my 2 boat lifts to fab/converting from overhead sling lifts to cradle beams! YAY

I'll be interested in seeing how you go about covering the face of the foam board. Nice heap of AL stock you got there. :thumb:

Thanks for dropping by Marv. I'm gnawing at the bit to see how all the transformations come together in the end. Still unsure at this point what horsepower I'll end up buying. I have a fellow coming today looking at the 90 Mariner that was on it before. Been researching the 2 stroke e-tecs in that horsepower range.

Need some advice here....so apparently the 54" shaft has been discontinued and this is it's replacement and of course it's on sale here,

2 questions, Is this the 'pros' choice of you who have experience with these[mounting, user friendly etc...?]
and is a 60" shaft appropriate to mount on the bow?
I'm not to savvy and not well versed in the use of these and is Ipilot included?....and this is a huge coin buster says the admiral

That's the similar model motor I bought for my SS. No ipilot on that model but you can buy it later. The ipilot models cost half again as much 1500 - 1600 and you'll have to raise the motor up some so it's not too deep but that's better than too short. It will also take up a bunch of real estate up front, they are large.

Wow that is definitely a bit larger than a postage stamp. Not sure if I can accommodate it's footprint with my anchor winch up there....but they're intriguing. Albeit I have never fished nor have I ever used or been in a boat that utilizes one. So I'm not sure if my right arm is worth the mucho cost. Yr SS is looking mighty sharp mate!

Hey mates.
Still lurking around of late and admiring some of the great builds and workmanship ongoing….impressive!
I been away for almost a year now, after many procedures to rectify a mechanical problematic back issue [let’s just say Tiger Woods’ and I have something in common]
Soooo I dug up my re-do project, [converting my Holiday over to an SS type FM] from the archives, 8 pages back lol. I’m now familiarizing myself as to where I left and where to pick it up stage. Feels like an eternity ago….but I’m confident it will all come back to me in a short period of time. I am very fortunate that I had ordered parts to keep ahead of the project. My fuel belly tank was the last thing the white and purple truck dropped off in May. So that’s next. I have to install along with the hoses and some wiring for the in-dash gauge.
I’ll have pics as soon as I figure out what to do achieve uploads without using PB.
Also I’d like to take this opportunity to congratulate the nominees and the winner of the 2017 SOTY winner. Awesome workmanship Candutch!

Welcome back

Yeah PB did some damage alright, I started using MS onedrive as every PC has it's app and it's easy to use on my phone too for uploading pics.

Soooo, been busy fabbing the lower pieces of the outer AL transom skin I added last year. I hated the look that was left at the bottom, below the new outer skin. I also drilled for my 2 livewell intakes. I wish I had brought the skin down the entire way as one piece now, but it would've been to much too install in one shot, imo. There were too many previous holes and botched attempts to conceal [rivets everywhere] painted over by the po. At least for my liking. This is the dry fit result before I get messy with the 5200!

Do those 1/4" blinds pull pretty tight, they look beefy.
