Racer, It's the advice that you gave me a bit back. "So Now Ya Know" what ya didnt "know" before....
FYI, I also pulled the flywheel, stator & timer off. took a good look @ the top seal. I see no problems there or any signs of problems there. so, we can cross that off the list also.
As I stated before I had ordered a new coil for the one that was cracked. (original oem johnson coil)
All my old coils test good per the manual for ohms resistance -- primary = .1 / secondary = 1300
all 4 of my old coils test good to this range.
The new coil only has .290 for secondary. Is this a problem with the new coil?
(observation, The new coil has a much brighter lighting strike color, where my old ones , although test good, dont have that lighting bolt sharp color, they have like a standard orange color?
