You need to have +12VDC on the red and adjacent white wires to have spark. The red wire is "hot" all the time, and the white wire is powered by the ign switch.

There is a test on CDI electronics web page that will test all of your ign components but the trigger. You need to pass that test, right about now.

Ok ill test all the ignition components before i start looking for a parts motor. Are any of the other ignition components cheaper or are thry all pretty expensive.

Just tested my ignition system and everything tested good so im gonna say its for sure the trigger.
