Replace with new hose.

If not cut a piece of the end off ( so there's no longer a tear ) .

Re-install it.

And secure it with a zip tie.

Yes, saw your picture of you holding up a fish....looks like a good fisherwoman!!?

Okay motor wise. Just aquired right? You've got moxie but the older outboards need a little more know how.

Do you know the history of this outboard? Does it have new fresh parts? Most likely not.
So your probably going to need to do some maintenance and upgrading to make it reliable enough to catch high quantities of big fish. Don't be scared, once fixed it should be pretty reliable.

Have you tried to start it yet?

Let us know and we will try to walk you through the steps.

Hey hey okay so no I do not know the history.. on my first start-up it didn't do anything except the gas went all in the motor area and leaked down to the carport . Since then I have watched every YouTube video that has to do with evinrude lol. I'm going to try to start it up today with the new plugs and hoses and fuel pump today. I'll send some ya some more pics of the inside also :) thanks for the tips! Keep em coming!

Does spark jump a gap of 1/4" or more , yes or no ?-------Those motor ALL suffered from cracked ignition coils.------First thing I do is pull flywheel and inspect.------Most of them have cracked coils or a new set has been installed.----I have worked on many motors.-----Since I started working on motors in 1968.----- I do not have enuff fingers and toes to keep track of how many.

Oh wow! You probably could have got this pretty one started right up lol! Unfortunately if the few things I feel confident working on do not work I will have to take it to someone. But between you guys and YouTube I'm hopeful ☺️

Don't you need a puller tool to get the flywheel off? The flywheel is one of those things I'm not confident doing :(

get a inexpensive harmonic puller... pop the flywheel and check for cracked coils
working oldies requires a minimum of tools and a cheap voltmeter

good hobby .. very addictive ...visit the folks at AOMCI

I just joined that group thank you! You make it sound like using this puller is easy so I'm going to get one and try it. I may need a walk through when the time comes lol!
