1976 collins craft.I have the boat off trailer and upside down.It has been washed with muritic acid.I am going to sand with 80 grit and use 2 part

I HAVE WASHED IT WITH MURITIC ACID.BOAT IS UPSIDE DOWN.I AMGOING TO USE 2 PART EPOXY HARD PAINT .HOW DO I FIX DAMAGE

You have a bit to go before you are worried about finish

You need to grind back the broken areas and build back up with fiberglass

You need to sand down the cracked gel down to good material, then fair and re-gel

I wouldn't use epoxy paint unless it's rated for the job

Don't know if I have the enough experiance to re gel coat.re fiberglassing the damage is no issue.I was looking to paint with a 2 part epoxy hard paint but don't know if this will work or not

if you can paint and sand, you can re-spray the gel.
