Hello....I have been working on outboards my whole life and I'm truely stumped. At first the motor had no spark. I unplugged the black/yellow wire with no luck. I hooked it back up. Checked the tach and about 300ish Rpms with plugs in. If I pull a plug and crank it that cylinder has spark. With all spark plugs grounded they get spark. If I put a spark plug in the cylinder that cylinder loses spark. So with three plugs in one will spark. With four plugs in and switching a 5th spark plug around nothing the second you remove that cylinders plug...bam spark in that cylinder. New stator, powerpack, rebuilt starter and all the wiring looks perfect. I would think it was the starter except its turning over plenty fast enough. Bad ground? Faulty power pack or what? Thanks,
Ben
