No I didn't know that. This is the first time I have ever done any "glass work".

I didn't either when I did some stuff on my old boat. Sealed my outer transom board with just some poly from Lowes. It cracked in short order. You need to add some chopped-strand mat (CSM) with it for it to be effective. I believe you can use it for laminating but again, use CSM in the laminate.
