1975 85hp JOHNSON 85ESL75 Remote Control-Box wires
I was installing a new over-temp horn in my remote control box over the weekend and noticed two unused/unconnected wires. The SELOC manual does not show what they are for and i hope that someone can assist me. The two wires are:

1. Grey wire in remote control box (comes from cable loom going to motor)

2. Red wire in same box(appears to be piggy-backed off 12V power terminal of horn/buzzer and purple wire)

How can i confirm that its still connected to the relevant tach driver thingy in the motor. If it is connected properly, im assuming i can connect a tacho on my dash.
