1975 4 hp Johnson won't start ?

Motor has set up awhile. Have good spark at plugs, rebuilt carb and have fuel in carb. compression about 95 on each cylinder. Engine will not start. Checked for vaccum at carb and I have none when I try to start motor. What is the problem?

Do you mean that you do not have any "vacuum leaks...or when you try to start, no air is drawn into the carb?

The problem is that you expect something that isn't there, Chodie.

Do the troubleshooting and tell us what you find.

Do you mean I am not supposed to have any air drawn into the carb when cranking?
