I am wondering about prop size for my old boat. It had a 21p when I bought it. I switched it to a 19. It's been suggested I run a 16 or 15. Does that sound right. Boat revs out at about 3500 ram for causing speed wich seams high to me
Ayuh,..... You need whatever prop pitch that allows the motor to run at 4400/ 4800 rpms, at Wot, trimmed, with yer average load of fuel, 'n gear aboard,.....I am wondering about prop size for my old boat. Get the timing sorted and take it from there. Once that’s sorted, tell us what outdrive she is abs her ratio of you know. But as she is…you’re about 2000 rpm low at least. It's a campion boat with a ford 302...the engine is being worked on timing wise but ran strong before.
