I have a 16 ft ranger with a 1975 Evinrude 115 hp, when tilted up all way it leaks down. After talking to a gentleman that works on boats he said i had the old saddle style Tilt and Trim. Also said parts are about non existent now. Would any newer tilt and trims work in place of the old one or any after market units work. Need something since do a lot of drift fishing in shallow bays and with motor leaking down you tend to get stuck quick.

Thanks
James

Re: 1975 115 hp Evinrude Tilt and Trim Problem

i have a 1975 evinrude 135 with the same aftermarket tilt that ox recommended and have had no problems at all with it. in fact, this is ideal as the factory tilt/trim for v4 crossflows was considered not desireable until '78-newer. so if i were you, if your stock tilt/trim requires expensive parts, forget it and get the cmc pt130...

Thanks for your help. Sounds like I will check into the CMC tilt.

Thanks
