So I have 2 new pumps at $150 each---- before I throw another $200 or so I want to know it's the pump. Just went out and removed emergency pump and put lines back and it started right up with +4 pounds of pressure.20231009_140918.jpg20231009_140902.jpg

I think I am going to pretend it is vaporlock and isolate all the heat I can, remove antisiphon and retest.
Also before I do that I might put a piece of clear hose and see if I am sucking air even though it runs fine til it's hot.
Water Temps 160-180.

Real nice day to be out. Glass. But still "ground hog day". Still loosing fuel pressure. I have determined its not heat related. I have phenolic spacers on carb and fuel pump. Shielded fuel lines and filter. Engine barely got to 160. Mostly 145-150. Carb, pump and all other fuel related things were cool to the touch. Warmest was the pump... barely. So now I will try the suggested Carter pump.20231205_133451.jpg

IM A FORGETFUL DUFUS!
So this fueling issue has been buggin me. Behaves like pump is starved. So ..... I go thru everything again and I start thinking that maybe I got a small hole in the pickup tube and sucking air. It's the only thing a have not looked at because it looked good when I removed the screen from the pickup tube. So I goes to take a look see. I remove the 90 deg fitting and what do I see..... that dam pickup screen. I did remove it to inspect and remember thinking I would leave it out to avoid issues but I must have put it back in. And it was mostly plugged. Now it's GONE. Now to test again and hope this time it's good and I can finish the interior

And this is going back in.
Boom w/extension has 3 different layers of square tubing. The outer is .250 wall. Hope to run it this weekend on the hose and be out next weekend. This summer sucked for boating between new motor for truck and now this....

20240929_214525.jpgtook her out and broke her in. About 3 hours. Ran good without issues. Should have painted manifolds.... still might.
And as a bonus the new ls 6.0 that has about 700 miles on it also ran great pulling the grade out of the lake. It's a steep grade that is several miles. Nice feeling to have everything working like it should.
Except .... stupid omc tilt motor shaft broke -again-
Didn't effect the day. Just made it a bit tricky to load.
