1974 50hp evenrude won't start

I have a 50 hp electronic shift.My problem is that there is power from battery to sileniod but nothing to ignition switch any ideas???

Welcome to iboats montecarlo!

First thing to check is the fuse on the engine. On the starboard side of the block you should find a fuse holder (red color I believe). This houses a 20amp fuse which feeds the ignition switch. If it blows, ya' don't go. Give it a look and post back what you find.

EDIT: By the way, your engine is likely a 71 or 72'. 72' was the last year for electric shifts.
