Testing the windshield from my 18 ss on this one works great, just have to raise the inside leg about 2 inches but it will work great.

Looks perfect, Getting those darn things to line up right was one of the most challenging parts of my build.

Thanks Ez, we had to make the consoles 2 inches higher at the leg and 1 inch wider to accommodate the windshield, also painted the outside of the transum where we modified it and added blue foam flotation on each side.

Thanks Rob but I don't think we will be seeing any soft water around here for at least the next 6 months.

This is a very inspirational thing to see. Ill be tackling the same kind of rebuild but on a little different style boat. I will be using the diamond plate transom reskin like you did, the previous owner of my boat apparently changed powerheads multiple times, there are about 5 complete sets of holes back there...what thickness plate did you use? And what alloy if anything special?? Ill be using the boat in freshwater if that makes any difference..

Thanks axir, I used 1/4 for the engine mounting plate, and 1/16 on the inside and transum cap, no special alloy.

Hey looking sharp John! I see you went with the deck plate in the SW too, sure will make it easy to deal with what ever goes on in the bilge and I put my spin on fuel filter in there too.

Your gonna love having that space on the rear deck! Im too happy i went that route. Might even make mine a little bigger now. And add that access you did but a square door for more room to reach in.
