I have found this thread and thought I could contribute.
I have had my Starcraft for around 10 years,
I have recently retired and found time to start the Partial restore.
First pictures will be of past trips.
I am on the right in the pic with a friend.

I am having a hard time finding linoleum flooring. I was going to get it through bass pro shop but they can not order it from the manufacture for some reason. I tried a local West coast marine and they don't sell any flooring anymore. I did not want to order some thin stuff from amazon that may or may not be up to the task.I also do not want to buy from a unknown source. Does anybody have a reliable source?

Old floor removed and saved for pattern. Cut new 1/2" plywood and coated both sides with epoxy. I also put new support angle in for floor support at midpoints and ends of plywood. I have two part insulation due on Tuesday.The transom was pulled, new marine grade 3/4 inch bought and epoxied together and coated exterior with the same, today.
The splash well had the worst paint job from previous owner. Top coat of cheap non matching, non marine grade blue that was half destroyed by time and gas over the years with faded original sky blue that bled through all over.
As shown in the previous picture I have taken it down to bare metal and looking for advice on both a reasonable priced spray gun and reasonably priced epoxy primer and paint with some pointers for a novice. { I will watch some you tube videos, but if those of you with knowledge can lead me to the right video that will help a lot .}

I pulled the trigger before i saw your post. I am trying to put it back together for Septembers Salmon.

Updated some pictures. shows some new floor framing and progress on transom install. I need to put a coat of epoxy on the 1/2" plywood for the waterside of the aluminum. I picked up a tube of 5200 for the through bolts on the transom as well as hit a couple rivets. I tightened the rivets in 4 spots that had very minimal drips and figured a couple taps and some 5200 should take care of it. Two part foam arrived yesterday and is on the short list after the transom is finished. I have read and agree with the concerns of the foam against the aluminum. I never leave the boat in the water overnight and will keep it covered when not in the water and tilted high in front for drainage. I think this provides the best flotation option overall compared to the other options for my needs. If you look at the pictures you can see I added some 1-1/2 x 1-1/2 x1/8 Alum Angle to the knee brace at the center bottom of the transom. the top bolt holes were gone from each side { top one on each side}
I added an alum shim where the top bolts had broken the alum away and put a through bolt through the knee brace and angle. If i had a tig welder I would lock it all together.

Started preparing boat for two part foam. Plugged area {1" thick} under z metal w/ purple foam board from Home Depot. sprayed great stuff foam around edges to stop leaks. Will post more pictures tomorrow. I also placed purple foam in between z metal supports 3" thick and left a water channel below from front to back.

I see your bow rib limber hole is blocked by the Starcarft factory red smeg on the bow seam, do you have any ideas how to clear that out for bow drainage? I'm having the same issue and really don't want to take out that rib to clean it.

I wouldn't worry about it, in fact later years SC stopped putting that limber hole bend in the ribs. My V5 SS you can see no limber holes.

I am going to leave it alone. It has survived 50 years and another 10 or 20 would not change much.

No pictures today. I worked on putting linoleum cover on passenger consoles new plywood. Drivers side tomorrow. New pedestals and 2 new seats expected Tuesday and will fine tune the location and put extra backing underneath the floor. I broke my tilt lever on the 78 70hp Evenrude.
The round shaft broke off flush where it is welded to the tilt bar. I am on the hunt for one, if someone has a similar one in a bone pile please keep me in mind.

Pedestals arrived. location verified, plywood reinforced underside w/ addition of extra layer of 1/2" ply glued, screwed under pedestal base. pedestal's mount to aluminum angle at 3 points 1" plywood all others. Blue linoleum on console will be whats on the floor. Ended the day putting pop rivets through the floor. Many more to go.
Then I will lay the floor.

Floor glued down. Need to wait 48 hours for drying before gluing the edges with Weldwood. used 6700 for the floor. Will use stainless steel staples every inch around perimeter of floor.
