1973 johnson outboard motor

just spun my prop today can i just press out the old one and press in the new ,i was told that it can be done,or is it cheaper just to get a new one (this ones in really good shape)

It can be done but you have to have the stuff to do it. You don't. A prop reconditioning facility does.
