1973 Johnson 4hp Model 4R73. Estimated value

I have a 1973 Johnson 4hp Model 4R73. Just installed new fuel pump, rebuilt carb and installed new water pump impeller kit. It starts easy and runs good. Water circulates as it should. Could anyone tell me what I could expect to get for it if I were to sell it. Thanks, Mike

Items are only worth what a buyer is willing to pay. If you could find that one person, you could sell it for $1000 dollars. But more realistically, probably a few hundred at best.

Your region on Craigslist.org may give you an idea of what it's worth, and is also a good place to sell it.

That's a nice simple little outboard with little to go wrong. Parts should still be easily available. I would agree with the $150 - 400.

I sold a 74 Johnson 4hp looked like new got 250 out of it but that was about 5 yrs ago I think these motors was only about 400 brand new
