1973 1150 merc timing belt question

when i line up the dot on my flywheel with the center of the dist. do i then line up the mark on the dist. pulley with the casting mark on the housing (just below the dist.)?

There is an arrow on the distributor belt pully that has to be pointing directly at the dot on the flywheel and there will be a little *** on the oppesite side of the distributor gear that will line up with the casting mark on the block/intake.This should all line up when number 1 piston is @ TDC
