Shift piston is stuck ( can not fully go into forward ) due to debris working its way into the piston bore.------Lower unit must come apart for inspection.

Thank you racerone I will try that . Is there a way to try to clean the piston without removing the lower unit . I read someone saying useing ATF fluid . Does this work ??
