1972 Crestliner transom rebuild

i have a 1972 crestliner not sure of the model...but i know the transom needs to be replaced... how do go about it? i am willing to take suggestions...and they are greatly appreciated... this is my first real boat...i bought it a couple of months ago..wasnt really sure what to expect being new to boating took it out a few times and i and the family are hooked!!! it came with a mercury "Tower of Power" 140 hp 2 cycle on it. it really hauls a** i love the motor. was doin an inspection on it yest and seen some indentations on the bottom of the outside where the motor mounts. what do i need to do to get back on the water. i would take it to a shop,but if i can do it,id like to. Anyone ever worked with this material calledSeacast

Forget the seacast, Wood, done right is a 20/ 50 year repair...
