1971 60hp evinrued won't start no fire please3 help

hello I have recieved a boat with a 1971 60hp evinrude model# 60173c 3 cyl I'm not getting fire to the plugs. any help would be great thanks deerslayer2000

If you have 12 volts to the amp. arc the wire to the pts, if you have fire the pts are bad if no fire the amp is bad--Bob

Woooooa ladieservice. Check the POWERPACK ground. Very common problem on motors that have been setting and a very easy fix.

its a rather complicated set up and very expensive to fix if you do something wrong. points are located under the flywheel. a manual is a good suggestion
