1970 37' Rub rail

I would like to replace the rub rail on my 1970 Egg Harbor. I have read that I need to use White Oak. Does anyone have or know where I can get the correct pattern to do this vice using a scrap piece and making my own.

Welcome to iboats.

That is a labor intensive labor of love. Is there a possibility of re-finishing the current rail? I think that maybe less work.

There is a 6 foot section that has wood rot and needs to be replaced.
