I have a 1968 Starcraft Chief with the Mercruiser (GM) 120 2.5L 153 CID in it and for the life of me I cant get the shift linkage tuned properly. I used too have a maintenance manual for it but unfortunatly left it on the counter and the dog went to town on it. It seems to want to be correct on one side or the other, Forward will engage locking up the prop correctly but shifting to reverse the prop will just freespin or clink, adjusting it the other way will do the reverse. Anyone know the correct adjustments for both cables?
