Hello all!

I'm a newbie to the boating world and just picked up my first ever boat! It's a 1967 gulfstream
with a merc 160.
My delema is the person I purchased the boat from disassembled the out drive to replace the
hydrolic lines for the rams. he did keep all the parts, but like heck if I know where all the stuff
goes to. So I'm wondering what other outdrive would work for my boat/engine? Oh I also need
a new manifold and riser (rusted out). Do they still make one for my 160 or will one work from
a 165?

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,.... Got any Pictures,..??

That quite a Antique you've got... Parts are gonna be hard to come by....

See if ya can find some serial numbers on the motor, or the drive...

Where does one find serial number on the block and outdrive?

An SEI drive will fit up no problem. The 160 head and block is basically the same as the 165, so manifold and elbow will be 'relatively' easy to find. Depending on the carb you have you may need a new one or an adapter plate.
