I need A water pump for this engine. Anyone have any ideas where to get one? Pictures attached.

Sadly. OMC used some very obscure engines in the early years. Mercruiser used a Renault engine that was around 90hp. Perhaps that one might be as well….. but your chances are somewhere between slim and none. Not meaning to be hurtful or anything just the way it is… see if you can identify brand. If it’s a GM product you may have some luck

So looks like that engine is from a Ford Cortina. Rockauto lists a pump for $27. Not sure it’ll work but it might do. It’s not a marine pump so it won’t last long if it does work

I did pick up one from Rock auto.. Ill Let you know how it goes.. the boat is in storage for the winter now but may take a run up and see how it matches up.

May have had some saltwater use in New Brunswick.-----Best to do a complete evaluation of motor and electric shift outdrive I think.

May have had a little but most of our rivers are freshwater

I would do a complete service on that electric shift outdrive.-----Water pump impeller . oil seals , greasing all splines on engine and in the drive,

This engine also came in Ford Pintos 1600 cc.
In my humble opinion he should just drain the oil from the drive and if there is no water then just refill it. Pulling that drive apart to reseal it if it does not need to be done is flirting with disaster.
