I think he means the driveshaft. This is how i got mine out. I got a 4x4 piece of wood about a 2ft long and drilled a 1'' hole in the middle. I slide that up the driveshaft and put a large thick washer under that, then i used a good sized wire rope clamp and tightend it down with an impact wrench( i think the vibrations from the wrench really helped out). do this about 1/2 way up the driveshaft where it won`t matter if it marrs up the shaft a bit as no seals are in this area. Support the motor, i did mine while on the boat but be carefull not to break the transom. I used a 2lb sledge hammer in each hand and at the same time hit the 4x4. about 6 good wacks it came right out. Its kinda crude but it worked for me, lol.
