Hi all,
I am a college student (Clemson University) and completely obsessed with boats. My family lives in Charleston, SC and we are the proud owner of a 20' SeaHunt.

However, I had not owned my own boat...not until now. I just purchased a 1966 Boston Whaler. From what I could tell it was in great shape, no soft spots, transom appeared fine, as well as the hull.

I am extremely excited about this boat but have no clue where to begin this project or what all needs to be done. My plans are to completely rebuild this boat to near perfection.

I have attached pictures (hope they work). Any advice would be extremely appreciated!

Thanks,
Greg Robinson

Nice start. Looks like a need for seating and an outboard and you're about ready.

There's not so much to 'rebuilding' a whaler as there is to 'refitting' one; meaning there's usually not much messing to the structual integrity to the hull as much as work on seating, gel coat repairs, etc.

You'll find good source here, but continuos wave dot com and whalercentral dot com are two Whaler sites probably more pointed for whaler refits.

I don't have a whaler, but I have a small boat (15') so I read those two forums too.
