1966 9.5 Water spewing out from under the flywheel?

I know just enough to get myself into trouble here. However, I am not sure where to start on this one. Water is spraying from under the flywheel and out into the cowling. It is running fine, but there is water everywhere. It would seem to be a gasket, but I am not sure where to even begin to get to the issue. Any suggestions?

would it be possible for water to come up the drive shaft and exit under the flywheel? I have the motor torn apart and the exhaust gaskets didnt seem to have a leak. Before I go and put it all back together, I want to be sure that it might not be something else.
