1966 415D engine suggestions?

Hi guys. Looking for a little help. Just bought my first boat, 1966 Steury 415D. Needs a short shaft engine with controls. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what horsepower range I should be looking for? Mainly want to cruise in it with my wife and dog so two people. Most would be 4 at once. I would like to be able to cruise at a decent speed but most likely wont do anything crazy. What do you think would be a good option? Thanks and sorry for my lack of knowledge, I'm new!
