I have a 1966 Evinrude 40 hp Big twin motor that I took out to the lake for the first time and it had no power. We got it back home and did a compression test, the bottom cylinder had 80 psi and we heard hissing, we tried to tighten the plug and it popped out. Turns out the last owner put a Helicoil in the head. The plug and helicoil came out as one. I am looking to see if anyone has a cylinder head for a 1966 40 hp evinrude big twin motor.
