I have a 1965 80hp West Bend/Chrysler. (1965 is the year Chrysler bought west bend.) I cannot find a picture of what the cowl should look like. It should read "West Bend by Chrysler" according to discount Marine. Just wondering if there are any pictures of this year and badge style of 80hp? I may redo those badges if I can figure out what it is supposed to look like. Thanks.

That is a 4 cylinder West Bend Tiger Shark 80Hp.
Maybe it is a 1964 or earlier.
I would suggest you to contact Franz Marine. Maybe he will be able to help you.
Nice engine and I think they are rare.
I have only seen one here in Sweden and it was in a pic.

The model number is 80571. According to Chrysler serial numbers it is a 1965. Most tiger sharks have the fish logo and read "tiger shark". Apparently the 1965's all said "West Bend by Chrysler" as 1965 is the first year of Chrysler production. It does not appear that they had the fish logo or read "Tiger Shark" but it certainly is the same motor. .....I dunno....
