Working on a cabinet wall to fill in the bow. Also got the slats cut for lining the ceiling.

Started to install the headboard lining tonight. Should reduce echoing and it’s looking pretty nice.

This took way longer than it should have, but turned out well. Made this to fill the gap for the console.

Damn... I might have to copy the headliner on my Starchief. What did you use for fasteners? Looks to me like cedar is your preferred wood.

When my Grandpa dies last year, we were cleaning up his shop and he had a trailer load of cedar stacked next to the e garage. So cedar it is! Obviously a little soft for the console, but hopefully it will hold up. Free is the best kind of wood. Plus, reminds me of Grandpa.

Got the front of the console glued and fit. Ran the steering cable through just to make sure it was a good length. It’s a little long but should work fine.

Decided to carpet the removable panel on the front of the console. Has a nice slant to it for leaning against. Now I have to get some finish on everything!

Got the steering put in. Definitely need a new steering wheel though. But the steering cable I took out of the donor boat is just about perfect length, just slightly too long. Also found a nice place for the fire extinguisher, and first aid kit.

Swim deck test fit. Seems very solid, but need to take apart to paint and seal.

Spraying the interior that is prone to the most wear with bedliner. Feels nice, and super durable!

New seats in the boat yesterday. Also sprayed a sample strip of color on the side. Taking inspiration from the 1955 I had when I was 15. What do you think?
