1963 Merc 60 6hp water pump

can anyone tell me the best way to change the water pump in a 1963 merc 60 6hp ser.# 1612784. also does anyone have an exploded view of the water pump etc. Thanks, Dave

There is a 1/2 nut under the cavitation plate and a 9/16 nut in the front above the plate remove them and the unit should come down. Go to the BAM Marine site for a parts break down

how much water should come out while it is runnin' it seems the higher rpm the more water but at idle not much is comin' out is this alright
