1963 10Hp Sportwin

My sportwin is leaking fuel from the shift shaft any ideas ,could it be a fuel pump diaphram, no fuel is leaking anywhere under the cowling ,Im puzzled!

Shift shaft, as in shifter lever shaft? The o-ring on the shaft is shot or it wouldn't be leaking out there.

That is what I figured , Doesnt hurt anything just leaking a bit
