I have been posting about this motor lately.I had it running great.I have had it in the drum cranking it for 5 days. This morning it was hard to start and not running right.I checked the bulb and it would not stay firm.I then checked the tank and it was almost out of fuel. Its a 3 gallon tank maybe 30 minutes run time. There appeared to be a lot of oil in the drum.A lot more than there has been.Could the pump diaphram burst and siphon the gas out of the tank.No way I burned that much fuel.NO fuel leaks under the cowling. The bulb was staying firm until this morning I was not even having to pump it.

the bulb does not stay firm so that is not the problem it is only used to fill the carb then the fuel pump sucks up what it needs.

hard to belive 6g/hr burn rate fine for a 50hp carbed Merc WOT pulling skiers but not a 10hp in a barrel !! oily barrel water is fine not an issue 2 strokes spit 30% of fuel oil unburned anyway .
i would recheck the fuel pump as a suspect dumpimg excess fuel back in in the crankcase and out the purge system .

remove the fuel pump and just gravity feed fuel directly in the carb to see how things go.
