1962 14ft SeaKing

Just bought this boat, 14ft alum SeaKing runabout. i'm planning on stripping it to bare metal, (soda blasting) and maybe just re doing the stripes in vinyl. front bench seat and thinking about making the back into a big sundeck....suggestions welcome first resto project.

also am thinking about putting a newer engine on it, maybe a mid 1990's 30hp 2-stroke

That is a BEE-U-TEE-FUL old classic!!! There a plenty of parts for that old motor if she's not froze up, you might want to consider keeping her Original. Those motors were some of the best ever made and will really make that boat "Scoot!!!"

So does anyone have pictures or any idea what the inside of this boat is suppose to look at? Because there is pretty much nothing left to work with.

Why do you say it's a Sea King? Is there a Label or tag or some kind of Markings on her???

That is what I was told my the guy I bought it from that she was a SeaKing and I am picking it up next month.

I have a 1959 Aluminum Sea King it has different colors and the stern has a different shape but pretty close, I also am working on restoring mine. I find it hard to get things done when I'm always out in it playing on the lake. Mine has a 40hp Elgin on it and it flies across the lake a pretty good speed. The video is with 4 adults in the boat and pulling a tube, it also had a bad intake gasket at that time.

I think I might do my seats the same way as the starcraft...unless anyone else has any suggestions.
