Traded a 1962 Starcraft Holiday for this ‘59 Texas Maid. Had to have the portholes, bow hatch and fins! Need any help on what the interior looked like. Interweb pics are limited. Did it have Upholstered sides? Any input on where pets can be acquired would be appreciated.

I Was helping my friend move and we took a load of metal to the recycling plant. Noticed an old boat windshield popping up behind a truck and after a brief conversation with the plant owner, I was able to trade the ‘62 Holiday for this. Much cooler! It will be a bit before I start on this one (I’m finishing up on my 1963 Starcraft Starmist), but jumping in here to get parts and photos/ info on this classic.

Do you restore old boats as a hobby?

Ha. Not intentionally. I was given this ‘63 Starcraft from a friend about 15 yrs ago. Say behind his shop until the beginning of this year. Looking for parts I came across the ‘62 Holiday. Stripped it and traded hull for the ‘59 cause it looked cool! Then, looking for parts I came across a 1977 19’ inboard/outboard deck boat. Needs work but got it for $375. Didn’t plan on all this but the good news is I ran out of places to store boats!
the ‘63 was a project. These others fell in behind so, I guess I’m now in the restoration phase of my retired life.
