I have a 58 Evinrude 10hp and the threads on the end of the crankshaft (at the flywheel) are stripped.
Is there a fix for this or is the crankshaft toast?

There are a few effective fixes, but all involve removing the crankshaft.
The cost of repairing the crank at that point is more than the cost of a decent used one.
