i have a 1957 evinrude fastwin, i am looking for a salvage yard where i can get a replacement starter housing i have tried several places with no luck!!!!!

I would think laingsoutboards.com would have one. AOMCI.org would have a cheaper one that a member would fix you up with. Place a free ad.

Are you talking about the pull starter on top or the electric starter on the side? Both were the same on many different engines so you have options.

It's a common part. Any of those used places listed should have one.
