1955 Johnson 25 horse tiller

I have been looking all over this internet for a 1955 Johnson 25 horse tiller, and the plate that goes behind the high and low speed adjusters. Does anyone here have one, or know where else to look?

Yep, aomci is probably your only chance. When and if they come up on ebay the price is ridiculous.

I'm at a loss of what plate you need. I had one of those as a kid, and I don't recall a plate. All I recall is the needle valves, and the large air silencer that was under the hood.

Yep the hood has a large opening in the front with a plate behind it. The plate has a rubber seal around it and is held tight against the hood by springs on the needle valves. That was common on virtually all the Johnsons of 1955-58. Nope, I don't have one.
