By "cleaned carb" did you take it apart? You need to get a carb kit, and properly clean/rebuild it. Remove the plug on top of the carb and clean the idle circuit underneath the little plug. Clean out all the passageways with spray carb cleaner. I'd also replace the float.
I only cleaned the carb, i did not remove any welsh plugs or replace anything

You can have a strong spark with cracked coils. Only at the wrong moment. Not a big issue to inspect.

I mean, how would i go about inspecting that, because when i tried to remove my flywheel, it was stuck tight, even after hammering with a block of wood and a hammer

Isn't there an inspection hole on the flywheel? Otherwise, use a puller. All older coils end up cracked, unless replaced later on in their life.

He stated coils were replaced !!---He states spark jumps a gap of 3/8"-----Hard to get spark at the wrong time on these simple magnetos.-----Carburetor work needs a revisit.----Reed valves need to be inspected.-----Any sign that this motor was completely torn down by a previous owner ??

If the carburetor is full it should start and run for say 15 / 20 seconds till it is empty.----In those 20 seconds the simple fuel tank should be pressurized to keep fuel going to the motor.-----The primes on the tank does NOT put pressure on the tank.

I get that, but id rather just get rid of the pressure system, too much moving **** to worry about
Then you need to add a fuel pump, if they are availiable for that motor ?? Have had many pressure tanks in the past, just like anything, if in good working order, no problems !!

That was a waste of time, do a thorough rebuild with a kit and get rid of those worn out parts. A kit will also tell you how to setup the carb to start...

There are lots of fuel pumps that can be adapted for that motor.----One from a 1968 3 HP to some 2000 model year of Johnon will work.----A 3 to 25 HP used that little square pump !
