Hello every1 new here I'm trying too find out if anyone could help me find points for my 1947 sea king it's a montgomery ward 2 stroke 5hp model 74gg9012 serial # 152352 had it running till a point bracket broke

That was made by Johnson / Evinrude.------Visit ----aomci----Lots of folks will have these breaker sets.-----Should be easy to find.

Johnson for gale what I'm trying too do is get the points set so I can get it back 2 running again I'm trying to find the specs too set them

Where does the throttle need 2 be when setting points

I have motors with those breaker points and some breaker points like that in bins.-----Worked on many of them.----Fact----The throttle position does not matter.----No it does not !

This is correct, because you are setting the points relative to the mag plate, which moves. YOU CAN check total timing if you know what that figure would be, but I don't. This would be with the mag plate full against the stop
