1883 alpha one gen one lower shift shaft

How hard is it to replace the lower shift shaft seal? Is the bushing threaded into the housing? Any tricks? Thanks, Steve

For some reason I can't open up the manuals link. I get an error message saying the file cannot be found.

So is it necessary for the gears to be removed, in order to pull the shift shaft? I think mine's leaking too.

Easy as pie, just unscrew the bushing and screw in new one with seal and new o ring. Ha.

Really easy. Don't forget your e-clip under your bushing, grease the inside of the seal and perfect seal the outside of the bushing. Don't miss any o-rings...
