175 intruder check engine light

Hi guys
Last week i disconnected my VRO per secret file instuctions and went boating.
Unloaded as normal, took off about 1/4 mile at full throttle and the horn went off with the check engine light (not oil or heat light) shut it down to an idle and it quit, Cruise back to the trailer no problem, get home and find nothing so this weekend try again and same thing.
Any ideas ?

Sounds like a fuel restriction any where from the tank to the mtr. That will set off the check engine lite on these mtrs. It must be bad if mtr quit. They normally will get set off at higher rpm's.
