"...and I assume fuel."
You still haven't confirmed no blockage at the quick connector ball valve.
Would take 15 minutes including cleaning if needed.
If you don't want to check then I'll move on.
Not trying to ignore ya here.based on your comments I placed a see through fuel line between fuel pump and carb ( downstream of qds) and fuel flow looked great. So this to me says the lines/qds are clear. Should rule out entire system pre carbs.
The reason I said "I assume" would be due to carburetor troubles on those 2 cylinders (they share a carb). I did just tear them all down and clean and everything looked good .
Am I missing something on the qd?

If the qd were obstructed I don't think that anything would be viewable in your clear hose. It's not going to allow air intusion. It would just restrict how much fuel the pump can pull through it.

I'll check it tonight just to be sure

Hate to see you chasing complicated/expensive things if the problem is something simple like that. It will take very little time and effort to rule it out.

removed fuel qds and blew through accessible lines. no obstructions

removed carbs and manifold to inspect reeds. no issues noted.

going to tear apart that bottom carb for a 3rd time and look for issues. also considering moving it to the middle to see if the issue follows the carb. might do that before the rebuild.
